eleco bracket

I purchased this lantern and bracket from fellow collector Andrew Emmerson. It's original installation location and history is unknown.

This medium-sized bracket with its small finial and large decorative scroll includes an oval fuse box bearing the name ELEC - St Albans. It's obviously an ELECO product but I don't know why they reverted to using ELEC.

It was painted a light olive green but removal of the paint revealed that it was originally painted light blue.

The lantern is an GEC Z9481.

Prior to being restored for its inclusion in the Elements Exhibition in Dublin, the lantern and gear were tested.
However, the original leak transformer burnt out on the first day of the exhibition and a replacement had to be
quickly shipped and fitted.
