REVO Groveland

The REVO Groveland is a classic example of an old gas lighting column. No base compartment was provided, and its chunky, heavy design was to withstand collisions from traffic.

It's also very short for a street lighting column, and so Grovelands were often fitted with oversized swan-neck brackets to make up the difference.

This column originally stood somewhere in Surrey.

It will be painted silver in Sutton's original colours and fitted with a large Lucy swan neck and ESLA Bi-Multi.

The column was moved into the back garden in the spring of 2010. This shot was taken after a particularly hard frost in February 2011.
