BLEECO 678 Worthing

In order to take a larger wattage bulb, the BLEECO 678 featured a deeper reflector spinning. It's fitted to an old bracket topped with a fleur-de-leis and an ELEC control box. The later is odd - it features the standard ELECO style catalogue number, but is clearly stamped ELEC.

An older BLEECO example, the Holophane refractor is supported by three hooks.

This model takes a 100W-200W GLS.

An eBay win, the lantern was collected from Cromwell Road, Gloucester (a location that should ring a bell), but I've no records of these particular style of BLEECOs ever being installed there. A cursory search reveals that this model was popular in Norwich.

The interior of the lantern supports three threaded extrusions on which a bulbholder is supported via three springs. This is an anti-vibration device to protect the bulb from excessive shaking.
