ELECO HW-5??-A

This ancient open sodium (140W SO/H) lantern was probably one of the first to use plastic refractors; and instead of going white with age, the refractors have cracked and warped into a mosaic.

After being installed, it was fitted with a cell, and, annoyingly, they drilled right through the catalogue number on the inside of the canopy. Hence the rather vague description.

It was rescued from the old English Electric factory near Liverpool.
