GEC Z5225 Faceted Reflector Lantern

Many would classify this lantern as an ESLA Bi-Multi but look again: oversized large canopy, six large facetted mirrors and multiple piece construction. This is the GEC version.

This lantern, attached to an A C Ford pole bracket was still in service until March 2007. It was installed at Burcott Lane in Bierton (just outside Aylesbury) and was the last tungsten lamp in the village.

It was rescued by Darren who replaced it with a Philips MI26 SOX lantern as part of a lighting upgrade.

It's missing most of its glass but is otherwise in good condition.

The lantern is still fixed to its A C Ford pole bracket.
