One of the popular GEC Z5580 range, this lantern featured the plastic refractor bowl option. Unfortunately, it's been severely heat damaged and thermal cracking has occurred - obviously the wrong bulb wattage has been installed.

This lantern came from Staffordshire, originally in the grounds of a redundant mental hospital.

The plastic bowl is now crazed with stress cracks. These don't appear to be affecting its structural integrity but do look worrying.

The lantern has been mounted on a Relite pole bracket.
