GEC Z9450

This Group-A design was relatively short lived, with the GEC quickly introducing the V-shaped bowl of the extremely popular GEC Z9452/Z9453/Z9462/Z9453 range.

Despite the sort amount of time it was available, it was snapped up, being quite a popular design. This was the gearless version, the gear-in-head variant having a V-shaped bowl. This design became the standard, and this flat bottomed design was discontinued.

The perspex bowl has gone milky with age.

This lantern originally stood in an army camp in the Burton area.
