A classic post-top design, the Solumbra was particularly favoured for coast towns, usually lighting walks along the seafront. They're disappearing fast these days, being replaced by either ultra-modern, or traditional style lighting.

This lantern is unusual by being gear-in-head; the bulge in the raised spun canopy hiding the bulky gear.
