REVO Junior Sol-e-tern

A modern classic and utterly representative of the 1950s and 1960s, the Junior Sol-e-tern was probably the sexiest of all the fluorescent lanterns. If lanterns can be sexy that is.

This lantern originally stood in the car-park of Cambridge Library and I rescued it from a skip when the lighting was replaced.

It needs a bit of restoration but should brush up well.

The interior of the lantern showing the two REVO TOI 500 fluorescent chokes and REVO capacitor (dated 1966).
