The so-called Ballards lantern originated from a garage in Wales owned by a Mr. Ballards. That part is simple. However the identification of this cast-iron, heavy beast is another thing.

The top bears the cryptic number 7150-1 and that's it.

The glass is by Holophane. So, I'm hedging my bets now: is it a Holophane or a BLEECO? More research is needed.
