The descriptions of the exhibits was concise. I dimly recall - when visiting the museum in 1980 - that the descriptions
were provided by the donators, which is why the information varied from the brief to detailed.
The catalogue was produced when the museum first opened in 1975. Pictures from 1980,
especially by Rodney Marshall, show how the
collection had grown, and the around a third of the exhibits were new. I'm not aware of any updated catalogues.

electricity using a carbon filament lamp, 32 watt about 1910. After World War I tungsten
filament lamps were used and the column was moved to Tolpitts Lane, Watford where it
