crawley lantern

The Crawley is a reflector type lantern for 2 x 2ft 40W tubular fluorescent lamps.

The lantern has a non cut-off medium angle beam distriubtion and is suitable for Group B Lighting at 15 ft. mounting height.

The control gear for 230/240V Instant Start is mounted behind the reflector.




Specification
The body of the lantern consists of a pressed aluminium canopy covering a central concealed cantilever bracket bolted to an aluminium head casting which supports the lantern on the column top at an angle of 10o from the horizontal.

Push-on bi-pin lampholders, reflectors and auxiliary gear are mounted on the central cantilever.

The lantern is enclosed and made weatherproof by a moulded perspex bowl seating on a special resilient gasket.

The bowl is hinged at the column end and secured at the roadway end by a single captive fixing screw.

All exterior metalwork is finished with aluminium paint.




Optical System
Light distribution is controlled by polished aluminium reflectors.




Mounting
The lantern head casting is suitable for mounting on a 3" x 3" spigot, outside diameter of spigot cap is 4½ inch.
