The Fleetwood is a side entry lantern for use with 4 x 30W 36" fluorescent lamps. The auxiliary control gear is
housed inside the canopy..
Application
The Fleetwood is an intermediate refractor lantern giving a broader semi cut-off distribution and intended for an
18' to 20' mounting height.
Specification
The lantern consists of a die-cast aluminium canopy and formed perspex cover, giving a completely sealed enclosure.
The canopy is a one piece aluminium die-casting which houses the auxiliary control gear mounted on a sheet steel gear tray.
For access to the gear and socket entry, the tray is easily removable by means of four keyhole slot fittings.
The enclosure is made by a formed perspex bowl with sealed in refractor plates. Side-ways hinging is achieved by means of
stainless steel hinge pivots which allows the bowl to be swung down or completely removed during servicing or maintenance.
Two improved stainless steel fasteners secures the bowl in position against a square section neoprene gasket, gibing an adequate
weatherproof joint.
The unit includes a cable clamp and three way terminal block (L, N and earth) located adjacent to the bracket entry.
Lamp positioning is achieved at both ends by 1" diameter lamp clips and electrical contact is made through 'push-on' Bi-pin
lampholders, colour coded for easy identification.
Auxiliary control gear mounted inside the canopy comprised four chokes, four transformers and two bulk capacitors suitable for
operation on a 240V 50 cycle a.c. supply.
Bracket entry is for a 1¼" B.S.P. plain x 4¼" long.
Special Features
- The cover bowl is quickly detachable, it can be removed completely for the lantern for cleaning or during maintenance. The actual
cleaning operation can therefore take place at a more convenient level.
- For maintenance or in the event of control gear failure, the gear tray can be easily removed from the lantern by
simply slackening the four keyhole slot fixings and disconnecting the supply at the terminal block.
- Slim neat appearance.
Weight
33 lb. including conrol gear.
