Modification of the original Amber lantern. Now uses a modified bowl secured by two side-mounted clips. Designed for the lighting of Group 'A' and 'B' roads taking 45-140W Sodium Lamps. Gear optional. Provides a non-cut-off medium angle beam. The one-piece Perspex bowl has internally sealed refractor plates secured by stainless steel toggle catches which are recessed into the aluminium canopy. Accepted by the Council For Industrial Design for Design Review.

Low priced lantern with good daylight appearance available in four options: (1) glass dome refractor and Perspex outer bowl (later changed to a stippled outer bowl), (2) opal 030 Perspex bowl only (3) Diakon refractor bowl (later changed to Oroglass) or (4) glass dome refractor only. For Group 'B' lighting only. The glass refractor dome provides a 2-way non-axial asymmertrical distribution whilst the opal 030 Perspex bowl provides a broad distribution.
