atlas beta six fluorescent lantern
This lantern designed for Group 'B' lighting where the good colour of fluorescent lighting is desirable. Easily installed, its weatherproof
construction and the long life of Altas fluorescent tubes, means long maintenance free periods and first class performance. It incorporates all control
gear and is therefore the ideal lantern for conversion schemes.
Specification
Special Features. A robust cast aluminium canopy is used on this fitting to which is fixed the diffused plastic bowl
using toggle catches at each end, one of which acts as a hinge. The fittign is ealed against the atmosphere by an expanded Neoprene
gasket cemented between the canopy and the bowl. The control gear is mounted onto a separate tray which can be hinged and removed
for servicing.
Optical system. Symmetric distribution using 2-2ft 40 watt fluorescent tubes providing glare free lighting from diffused or refractor bowl.
Materials. The canopy is made from silicon aluminium and the diffused bowl from plastic sheet, external parts are stainless
steel. The control gear tray is mild steel and finished white stove enamel. All internal brackets are natural Duralumin.
Installation. The spigot entry is 1¼" BSP x 5" unthreaded barrel secured to column bracket by allen type screws.
A reducer can be supplied to adapt the lantern for use on 1" BSP brackets.
Lamps. Two Atlas White 2ft. 40 watt tubes.
