TROLLEY POLE BRACKET
|
No. 1020/1 |
BLEECO Trolley Pole Bracket has been specially designed for adaptation to the
trolley or tramway overhead suspension standards.
Its use enables the street lantern to be installed at the height of 25 feet above the road
surface and above the overhead suspension wires.
The trolley pole bracket has a standrad projection per arm of 6 feet and can be supplied with
one, two, three or four arms as required.
The main extension tube is 4" diameter and is cast into and projects through the spigot cap.
Fixed to the lower end is a cast-iron collar turned to fit inside the diameter of the trolley pole,
the spigot cap fitting the outside diameter and fixed by two sets of three each 5/8" set screws.
The spigot caps can be supplied to fit poles of 5" to 7½" outside diameters. The bracket arm is made of 1½" B.S.P, on the
end of which is fitted a cast finial with removable lid on one side and a self-aligning suspension fitment
in the base. Inside the finial is fitted a terminal block for cable connections.
The dimension from the top of the trolley pole to the lantern finial is 2 feet. In some
cases, for instance where the lantern is required to be fitted under the overhead wires,
it is necessary to fix the lantern at a lower mounting height. In such cases the bracket
arms can be reversed, so that they sweep downwards instead of upwards, which will bring the
lantern finial center 1'8" below the top of the trolley pole.
The complete assembly includes scrolls, clamps, cast iron top finial and cable entry,
all as shown in the illustration, excepting the lantern.
