Specification
The column complies with the British Standard Specification for Aluminium Columns is constructed from a die cast base section (L.M. 6.M.) cast
integral with a 76mm diameter extruded tube (H.V.30 W.P.) thus avoiding the necessity for adhesives or external welding. The flush fitting door
is also die cast integral witha tamper proof lock and has adequate drainage channel as added protection.
The base compartment is fitted with a plywood base board and is large enough to accommodate the normal size control gear together with
a timeswitch and sealing chamber.
A range of brackets is available enabling the columns to be used with all types of Group 'B' lanterns. Brackets can also be supplied to suit customers'
individual requirements.
The dimensions of the column at ground level is 158mm diam. and the foot is black bitumastic dipped to 51mm above this point.
