It is difficult to determine the entire GEC range from the surviving fragments of this catalogue.
Therefore dating is difficult but from the lanterns, columns and brackets included then the catalogue probably dates from the mid-1920s.
The Directional System of Street Lighting appears to have been dropped, making it one of the most short-lived ideas in the history of the subject.
Instead, the Wembley lantern with its dome refractor appears to have partly replaced it, although there is no mention of the axial-asymmetric
or non-axial-asymmetric lighting distributions.
The range of brackets has also increased slightly.
The GEC have also renumbered the range, dropping from the F8000 series for industrial, yard and street lighting down to a F5000 series.
