The above lanterns are of the Totally Enclosed Type. They consist of a heavy gauge spun copper body and reflector finished stove enamelled green
outside and white inside. F5177 is supplied with a Symmetric type refractor and plain clear glass outer globe. F5179 is
supplied with an Asymmetric type refractor and ribbed glass outer globe.
A special feature is the focusing device, which enables the lamp to be raised or lowered inside the refractor to vary the light distribution to suit the height
and spacing of the units. This adjustment can be made from the outside without opening the lantern in any way.
Standard tapping at top for fixing ¾-in. gas thread.
