Weatherproof Boxs For Chokes And Condensers
Z 1898 (150-watt type). Lead-coated sheet steel box fitted with Parkerised stiffening straps and
hinged cover with weatherproof gasket. Adequate and weatherproof ventilation is provided, ensuring a through
current of air to minimise condensation. The box is suitable for housing one Z 1840 choke and
one Z 1850 condenser, and fixings are provided for two ZS 2227 G.E.C. "Minor" fuses.
Z 1900 (250-watt type). Box as above, but suitable for housing one Z 1860 choke and one
Z 1852 condenser, and fixings are provided for two ZS 2227 G.E.C. "Minor" fuses.
Z 1901 (400-watt type). Box as above, but suitable for housing one Z 1871 choke and one
Z 1854 condenser, and fixings are provided for two ZS 2227 G.E.C. "Minor" fuses.
Z 1911 (400 or 250-watt type). Cast iron boxes with hinged cover, weatherproof gasket and
single screw locking device. Adequate and weatherproof ventilation is provided, ensuring a through current
of air. The box is fitted with a teak board to carry one choke, one condenser and two
ZS 2227 G.E.C. "Minor" fuses.
Cable Entries
The Z 1898, Z 1900 and Z 1901 boxes are provided at the bottom with two bushed holes for
the entry and exit of cables. Other special drillings to order. The Z 1911 box is provided at the bottom
with two holes tapped ¾-in. E.T. and bushed.

Z 1898. Galvanised Pole Clamps for above boxes, either "short" to suit poles of 3ins. to 4ins.
outside diameter, or "long" to suit poles of 4ins. to 5ins. outside diameter, 3s. 0d. per box.
Z 1900/11. Galvanised Pole Clamps for fixing the above boxes to circular poles,
complete with nuts, the clamps either "short" to suit poles of 4&frac;in to 6in. outside diameter, or "long"
to suit poles of 6in. to 7½in. outside diameter, can be supplied at an extra charge of 4s. 0d.
per box.

Z 7303. Galvanised Nuts and Rag Bolts (3/8in. diam.) for fixing the above boxes to a flat wall,
can be supplied at an extra charge of 4s. 0d. per box.
