Designed to suit the OSIRA lamp and suitable for use with a single lamp operating on a 50-cycle alternating
current supply:

NOTE | (1) | 100-130 volts, 50 cycles. For these supplies a small step-up transformer will be needed for each unit
or a larger transformer for a group of units. Particulars on application to G.E.C. (Z Department). |
| (2) | The voltage at the units must be specified in enquiries for choke coils, which
are supplied in two voltage ranges, Z 1840 H 50, Z 1860 H 50, and Z 1871 H 50 covering
actual voltages of 220 to 260 in steps of 5 volts, and Z 1840 L 50, Z 1860 L 50, and
Z 1871 L 50 covering actual voltages of 190 to 230 in steps of 5 volts. |
| (3) | Supplies of 40 cycles, 60 cycles, etc. The standard G.E.C. chokes are accurately
adjusted to suit supplies at 50 cycles. For any other frequency specially adjusted G.E.C. chokes are necessary.

| (4) | The G.E.C. choke coils are protected agaisnt damp by vacuum bitumen impregnation
and have no exposed live terminals. They must not, however, be subjected to direct water splash or drip. |
