Catenary Lantern ZD3230

Application
The lantern is designed for centre line mounting on dual carriageway roads.

Recommended spacing/height ratios vary between 1:1 to 1.7:1 depending on a number of factors, including road width.

Lamps
One 135 watt Super SOX type sodium lamp.

Mounting
The lantern is mounted iwth its longitudinal axis parallel to the road. Two suspension points are provided to the top of the lantern to enable connection to the supporting catenary and strainer wire.

Vertical suspension straps and dropper wires prevent the lantern swinging about the road axis.

Construction
The body is cast in LM6 silicon aluminium alloy and is enclosed by a formed acrylic bowl which cannot be accidentally dislodged when hanging in the 'open' position but is easily removable for cleaning and replacement purposes. The hinges and catches which secure the bowl are made in stainless steel.

The sides of the body are shaped to the contour of the main reflectors for complete stability.

Photo Electric Cell Control
The lantern can be supplied for use with a wide choice of photo-electric cell control units.

Optical System
The lantern distribution is achieved by specular anodised aluminium alloy reflectors producing a highly efficient cross-over distribution.

Finish
The lantern body is finished with a high quality aluminium colour stove enamel.
