Holophane Band Type Refractors are made in two parts like the Bowl Refractors, and are similar to the standard unit, but with the bottom portion removed.

The use of the band refractor permits more light to be given directly under the units, for the lighting of Islands, Crossings, etc.

These Refractors can be admirably adapted to existing Lanterns, and can if desired, be used inside existing clear glass globes.
