Mirrorlite
Initially a fitted with a prismatic reflector housed in an opaque dome. In 1928, design modified to include a diffuser band
which diffuses a small amount of light upwards preventing a hard shadow line on buildings, helps to reduce glare and gives a softer
and more pleasing effect. By 1932, made in three sizes for lamps from 100 through to 1500W. The reflecting medium is a specially
formed Silvered Glass Mirror Reflector whilst a conically-shaped opal band is incorporated to
obviate glare. Fitted with external focussing mechanism.

Glowband
Available in several sizes for lamps up to 1500 watts. There is a white vitreous enamelled
inner and outer reflector to each lantern and an opalescent cylindrical glass band. The light
peak is not so accentuated as with most other types of street lighting lanterns. The majority
of lanterns obtainable with two lampholders, comparatively close spacing will enable an even
degree of illumination without glare. Economy can be achieved by switching off one lamp
in each fitting when the thoroughfare becomes cmparatively deserted. Fitted with external focussing mechanism.
