Enclosed Prismatic Panel Lanterns

For 45W, 60W, 80-140W Sodium Lamps

PHOSWARE NEW TYPE enclosed lanterns have been made more slim in section and of lighter construction than the Standard Phosware types.

Two sizes are avilable, one for 45-60W Sodium lamps and one for 85-140W Sodium lamps.

The body castings are made of corrosion resisting aluminium alloy and are made in two types for Side entry and Top entry fixing. The castings are treated with an undercoat of protective paint, with a high class top coat, white on the underside and hammered metallic beige outside finish.

The enclosing bowl is of clear Perspex, with fluted ends. The two sides are fitted with sealed Perspex Prismatic Panels to give an axial light distribution in accordance with the B.S. Code Of Practise No CP 1004 Parts 1 and 2.

The complete lantners have very clearn lines and are of robust construction. The bowl is fitted with two side hinges and speical side clips which only need a 90° turn to open or fasten, the lantern being sealed with a suitable gasket to make it dust tight and easy for maintenance.

These lanterns can be supplied with Control Gear fixed in the Hood

For 200W SOI/H And 200W Linear And 2-140W Sodium Lamps

PHOSWARE 200W and 280W Sodium lantern series have been designed to accommodate the various types and sizes of lamps at present available.

Nos P.160 to P.163 are designed to take the 200W SOI/H lamp while P.165 is a universal type to taken the 200W Linear lamp with Bi-pin holders or 2-140W lamps with B.C. holders at each end.

For the light control of Nos. P.160, P.161 and P.165 the Perspex bowl is arranged with sealed prismatic panels on the two sides, while Nos. P.162 and P.163 have a clear Perspex bowl, the interior being fitted with a special designed High Purity anodised aluminium reflector.

The body castings are made of corrosion resisting aluminium alloy and are fitted with two side hinges and special side clips which only need a 90° turn to open or fasten and the bowl is sealed with a gasket to make the lantern dust tight and easy for maintenance.

The lanterns give a light distribution suitable for Group A Traffic routes when installed at a height of 30 to 35 feet.

Standard finish exterior hammered metallic beige, interior white enamelled.

These lanterns can be supplied complete with Control Gear fixed in the Hood
