The Phosware P.100 lantern is for side street lighting and is supplied as an Open or Enclosed type and is suitable for 100-150W. tungsten or 80 W. MB/U or MBF/U mercury lamps.

The Hood is of cast aluminium-alloy to which is fitted by means of 3 spring loaded hooks, a single piece prismatic refractor giving a two-way non-axial light distribution.

The porcelain lamp holder is carried on a bridge attached by bayonet fixing to bosses cast in the body to suit the lamp size used.

The Phosware P.100 type can also be supplied as a toally enclosed lantern by fitting with a Perspex bowl and listed under P.101.

A lug is cast on the flange of the hood and a cast aluminium hinge piece is fixed to the Perspex flang of the bowl which forms a hinge for interior access.

The Perspex flange is also fitted with a captive milled head screw and is sealed to the hood with a cork gasket.

This arrangement forms an inexpensive enclosed lantern for residential lighting with all the advantages of efficient light control frm the prismatic refractor and protection from wanton breakages and dirt collection.

Finish of lantern: Outside. Hammered Metallic Beige: Inside. White enamelled.
