Open Type, Perspex Prismatic Panel Lanterns

For 45W - 60W and 85W - 140W Sodium Lamps

Phosware open type series of Sodium lanterns consists of a one-piece Perspex hood, the two sides of which are fitted with sealed prismatic panels to give an axial light distribution in accordance with the British Standard Code of Practise.

They are made in two sizes for 85-140W and 45-60W lamps for both for Top and Side entries.

The top and side suspensions are made of non-corrosive alum-alloy castings which are fixed from the underside of the Perspex body by an alum. spine to strengthen the suspension and which also carries the lamp support terminal block and earthing screw.

The Perspex hood is formed with fluted ends to spread the end light, the top and one end bening opalised to give a pleasing appearance to the lantern when assembled.

This type forms a very inexpensive series of lanterns of simple construction, easily maintained and also gives the correct light distribution for Group A or B thoroughfares.

Phosware Open Type sodium lanterns for Group B lighting made in two types for Top and Side entry.

The lantern consists of a one-piece Perspex hood, the two sides of which are fitted with sealed prismatic panels to give an axial light distribution in accordance with Group B.1 and B.2 lighting.

The specification is the same as that just given, for the large size for Traffic routes.
