This street lighting fitting comprises silicon aluminium frame and end plates with heavy gauge aluminium canopy all specially treated to resist corrosion. Accurate control of the light is effected by means of high quality silvered glass mirrors and the lantern is enclosed by a clear moulded Perspex cover, hinged on one side, thus affording instant access to the interior and ensuring protection against ingress of dust and insects. The smooth uninterrupted surfaces greatly facilitate cleaning. All control-gear accessories are normally housed in the top of the unit, and are readily accessible for maintenance purposes.
