This street lighting fitting comprises cast aluminium alloy canopy and ends with internal high
quality stainless steel reflector; the sides being of sheet aluminium.
Light control is obtained by means of internal silvered mirrors of special formation to ensure
effective light distribution and high efficiency and absolute cut-off is obtained so that no
light is emitted above the horizontal, thus meeting the requirements for street lighting in the
vicinity of aerodromes.
The lanterns are supplied with lower panels of clear glass thus providing complete protection against
the ingress of dust or insects.
Wiring from the terminal block to the lampholder is provided. REVO magnetic deflectors
(Patent applied for) are notmally supplied to maintain the arc of the lamp in its correct position.
The lower portion of the lantern is hinged to the canopy and access to the interior is readily
obtained by releasing two toggle action fasteners of stainless steel. Provision is made for top or
side entry mounting.

The recommended maximum spacing-to-height ratio for cut-off Lanterns is 4-1 ; e.g. at 25ft. mounting
height the normal spacing should not generally exceed about 100ft.
