Architectural Lighting Standards And Fittings

FESTIVAL JUNIOR

The FESTIVAL (right)

This elegant fluted column was originally designed in conjunction with the vertical fluorescent lantern as illustrated but can be supplied to accommodate other types of fittings if required.

The fittings and columns themselves present a feature of architectural beauty, adding grace and dignity to the thoroughfare by day and providing most effective illumination by night.

The design is particularly suitable for Public Squares, Parks, Bridges, etc.

The standard is of cast iron, having a door opening measuring 24in. x 6¾in. to house control gear accessories, time switch and cut-out.

The lantern shown is the C13428 arranged for four 80 watt 5ft. fluroescent tubular lamps as described here.

The column together with lantern gives a height of approximately 21ft. out of ground, and the normal finish is bronze paint.

The columns and lanterns illustrated were originally produced to designs by the City of Birmingham Public Lighting Department for installation in the principle streets of the city.
