Programme
Annual Conference at Llandudno
September 12th-16th, 1949
Delegates have the opportunity of inspecting an outdoor display of modern lamp columns to
which will be affixed Electric and Gas lanterns of up-to-date design. These columns and lanterns
can be seen on the grass decorative plots extending along the Promenade which have been placed at
the disposal of the Association.
Whilst it will not be possible to see the lanterns illuminated, Delegates will be enabled to
make a close daylight inspection.
During the course of the official inspection on the opening day, Delegates will also have an opportunity
of witnessing a Group "A" and Group "B" column being erected and placed in position by a team using crane
and lifting tackle.
A further feature of the deomstration will be the display of modern Tower Wagons, Ladders, etc., on the
North Parade.
On a piece of ground adjoining the Conference Hall, there will be a display of latest types of bollards,
traffic signs, etc., and on the covered portion of the Balcony outside the Conference Hall, representatives
of manufacturers specialisign in Time Switches, Clock Controllers etc., will be available to show and explain
these products.
