Huge metal ducts rose up through the bunker, and all the switch-gear and controls were still in place on the
walls. The modern meters probably date from the 1960s.
Most of the fuse boxes were labelled as “Non Essential” lighting. Like the telephone exchange, many of the labels are rather cryptic.
