cane hill | spooks and structural failure
08|12|02

We finally drew level with the remains of the burned out Main Hall. And more nasty surprises awaited us.

In the glory days of Cane Hill, this view would be of the stage, looking down into the main hall, with the balcony at the back of the room. The ceiling would have been high and curved.

But since my last visit, the stage has been demolished. The balcony (only twisted ironwork when I last visited) has been demolished. The wall above the two doors offering access to the balcony has also gone.

It seems that all the fire-damaged areas of the hospital are now being demolished.
