We took the stairs to the first floor, finding the hospital relatively undamaged.
The fire hadn’t spread up here, and we found several large impressive rooms, all empty,
but well aired and still retaining their Victorian splendor.
This was one of the rooms looking out over the front car park and over the Downs.
