This was the view, which immediately faced me, with the beautiful mirror, the
stained glass and the mahogany paneling behind me.
A blasted, burned out, damp, dark corridor.
Trolleys filled with charred wood, debris, and junk
were discarded along the side. The clearing of Cane Hill was going on in earnest.
This corridor stretched from the administration block, alongside the chapel,
and onward towards the main hall and kitchens.
But there was still some more of the administration block to see first.
