During my grand tour, I’d explored the three cellars of the Administration Block - but not thoroughly enough. There was talk of ranks of batteries and a telephone exchange.

I found a corridor behind the stairs, which lead into unexplored depths. The central cellar was far larger than I realised, full of small, dingy rooms.

I then found the batteries, arranged in series, and still intact. (Although you wouldn’t want to mess with them - unless you want some souvenir acid burns). I neglected to follow the leads to find out what the batteries powered - but I assume they were backup for the telephone system.
