A door lead outside and I hoped to be able to get past this impressive bank of switchgear and onto the service road
beyond. Unfortunately the way was blocked with twisted and charred metal so we had to retrace
ours steps back into the laundry.
This was where the electricity supply originally entered Cane Hill, the switchgear distributing the feed to
various parts of the hospital. But, as cane be seen, charred wood and beams sit on top of the fuse boxes. As
victim to one of the arson attacks, all power to the hospital has now been cut-off.
