As I reach the ward, the concrete construction at the base, and the red
tiling of the second storey up, become apparent.
These wards were a slightly later addition, but are still Victorian.
Not that the bay windows here are also boarded up. Yet more old infiltration points for urban
explorers, vandals, dwellers and the curious.
2009: Again, the amount of undergrowth hampered any clear photographs of the wards.
It wasn’t until 2006, and the clearance of the airing courts, that clear pictures of any of the buildings could be taken.
