Before looking at a ward, we were drawn eastwards, into the maze of labs and yellow corridors that populated this mid-section of the hospital.

This view gives the best indication of what the hospital originally looked like as the ceiling tiles are still (mostly) in place, the red doors look almost cheerful, the yellow walls brighten up everything up and “Thatcher Sucks Cocks”.

The later is presumably one of the first pieces of graffiti to be penned on the site (unless it was written during the life of the hospital by a disgruntled medic).

I have to say that the graffiti here is far more entertaining than the pathetic scrawlings at Cane Hill.
