Being a modern add-on, there was no way into the main hospital, but someone had kicked in an entire glass door. So we just slipped in and stood in the Main Hall.

I’d never found Rauceby so open. The place was being to disintegrate in front of us.

The RAF took over Rauceby in 1940 as a burns and injury hospital for the servicemen of Lincolnshire. They returned the hospital to the newly formed NHS in 1947; after managing to burn the Main Hall down.

Hence it was rebuilt to a modern box style. This wasn’t GT Hine’s original hall.

Magnus was very impressed. After the 80s retro mulleted shock of the DJ booth, this was something else entirely. “I love the space” he said.

The Main Hall is going to be demolished.
