Hine’s two storey blocks were certainly unpretentious, but elegant in their
simplicity. This was the view of the wards in the first ward cluster looking down towards
the airing courts.
The original cast-iron fences surrounding the airing courts were still in place.
I followed a path down the side of the airing court, past a modern prefabricated building
and down to the end of the garden.
