st johns | doom and gloom

I returned to Rauceby, picked up the rest of the group (who’d spent a happy couple of hours either in tunnels or up the water tower depending on their inclination) and drove back to St. John’s.

I recommend this part of the world for a fun-packed asylum-filled day!

We quickly entered the damp, cold buildings and made our way to the smaller, original Administration Block. It was tiny, no more than reception rooms at the front, and this large flying staircase to the back. It looked like the site had been stripped, but given about 15 years of dereliction, that had to be expected.
