Deciding to kill some time, we climbed up on the flat roof of the building, and were greeted by the sweeping view of RAF Wyton to the north. The sky had greyed and the wind was building, so we took shelter in a small alcove by the boiler house chimney which looked out towards the old dog training compound. Tom produced two bottles of beer. It was now an unwritten rule: have a bottle of fine ale in some of the most unlikely places possible.
