At the end of the north-south corridor, it met the east-west corridor. We were now in the center of the builing.
Here’s the east-west corridor, completely dark, with the main door to the facility at the eastern end (as pictured).
Before taking this route, we moved forward, into one of the northern rooms.

2008: Despite the smashed light fittings, the view is much the same. I believe this new picture is lighter as the boarding obscuring the windows has been ripped off.
