rauceby virtual asylum

The demolition of the former Rauceby Hospital is now complete leaving a set of disjoint buildings waiting conversion. The ward blocks have survived, along with Admin, the Chapel, the two sets of doctors' flats and the greenhouse.

Due to the current economic slump, all further building work appears to have stopped. So the remaining buildings have been boarded up.

Whilst this looks drastic, the builders have left far more than I expected, leaving all the wards (including the centrally placed ones) and even the Doctors' flats. This is to be complimented - compare this to the gleeful distruction of Cane Hill.

(Thanks to Steve for the plan).
