This lantern was originally installed on the side of an army depot near Burton. It was rescued, along with its concrete bracket, by Phil. The door in the background should give an indication of the sheer size of the bracket.

It's an early version of the Z9460, a side-entry 90W SOX lantern with gear-in-head. This example includes all its original gear including an open coil leak transformer.

After over fifty years of service, the bowl has now gone milky with age.
