revo c14407/s: as aquired

The provenance of this lantern and bracket is completely unknown, having been obtained as a swap at a collectors meet.

However, it may have originally been installed in Folkestone, as the angular AC Ford bracket and side-entry REVO C14403 series lantern were very popular around the town. But its colour would count against this: Folkestone painted their brackets and columns white whilst this was green.

Side-entry versions of this lantern are extremely rare. Unlike a surviving catalogue scan where the side entry spigot is a simple bolted aperture, this lantern has an elegant, scalloped spigot which suggests it was an earlier design.

I've got a dome refractor but I'm currently searching for a plastic 'Prefect-style' bowl which were used in Folkestone.
