THE HALEECO REFRACTOR LANTERN has been designed to accommodate large size light sources for the lighting of Group "A"
roads and busy traffic centres. It is suitable for use with -
300-1,000 Watt Gas Filled Lamps as well as
400 Watt MAF/V Iso-thermal Mercury and
400 Watt MA/V Mercury discharger lamps.
The lantern consists of a 16in. cast iron hood with hinged ring with brass swing bolt fixing, carrying a
14in. dia. Holophane enclosed prismatic bowl, giving a two-way non-axial
light distribution.
The cast is hood is arranged with external lamp focussing and the goliath lamp holder is
fitted, by means of a cast iron bridge to adjustable rods, for the positioning of the various types of lamps
as regards their correct fous and distriution.
The interior of the hood is fitted with a conical V.E. reflector to control the upward light. When used with gas filled
lamps and internal prismatic band refractor is used in conjunction with the outer prismatic bowl.
