SPECIFICATION

This lantern has a one-piece die-cast body and canopy and a die-cast bowl ring secured by stainless steel toggle clips. Both castings are of corrosion resisting aluminium alloy LM6.

A glass refractor bowl is fitted and sealed against the ingress of dust and moisture. The external surface is smooth for easy cleaning. The lampholder bridge piece is slotted to facilitate wiring and assembly. Weight 6½ lbs. It compiles with B.S. 1788/1951.

PERFORMANCE

The optical system consists of a Bowl type Refractor which is specially designed for 80 and 125 watt Mercury Discharge Lamps, and is available for non-axial or symmetrical light distribution, each type being designed to give maximum light control together with a high light-output ratio. The prismatic formation is carried on the internal surface of the bowl, leaving the external surface smooth for easy maintainance.
