The 'Silverline' Column is of simple unobtrusive design suitable for all Group 'B' lighting applications.
This Column has all the advantages ofa Steel Column, and the additional advantage of not requiring
maintenance. Due to the light weight of the Column the safety factor is considerably greater.
When considering the purchase of metal Columns it is worth nothing these points in favour of the
ELECO 'Silverline'.
- Maintenance not required: thus a saving on painting bills of approximately 25s. 0d. per column every 3/5 years.

- Ease of handling considerably reduces the cost of erection.
- The 'Silverline' column is exceptionally string due to the unique method of construction.

The Column which complies with the draft British Standard Specification for Aluminium Columns is constructed from a die
cast base section (L.M.6.M) cat integral with a 3" diameter extruded tube (H.V. 30 W.P.), this avoiding any form of
adhesives or external welding. The flush fitting Door is also die cast integral with a tamperproof lock, and has
an adequate drainage channel as added protection. The Base Compartment is fitted with a hard wood base board, and is
large enough to accommodate the normal size control gear, together with a Time Switch and Sealing Chamber.
A range of Brackets is available enabling the Columns to be used with all types of Group 'B' Lanterns. Brackets can also be
supplied to suit customers' individual requirements.
The dimension of the Column at ground level is 6¼" diameter, and the root is black bitumastic dipped to 2" above this
point.
